We are continuing to work entirely online although Yvonne does also offer face to face appointments.
Research shows that for most people online therapy is as effective as face to face and it allows greater flexibility in booking appointments and saves travel time to and from appointments.

Who We Are
A very warm welcome to CBT Plus. We are a group of highly experienced clinicians based in Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and also North West Highlands. We have a proven track record of delivering effective psychological therapies in both the NHS and private practice. We offer CBT and other evidence based approved therapeutic interventions for adults, children, adolescents, and families.
We are all accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, (BABCP) which is
the lead organisation for CBT in the UK.
What is CBT?
CBT is generally considered to be one of the most effective talking treatments available. It has shown very favourable results through extensive research over many years on its effectiveness.
Adult Therapy
Making the decision to start therapy can be daunting. However, you can be assured that at CBTplus you are in safe hands. We are all accredited therapists with many years’ experience in providing psychological therapy. We are also recognised by all the major health insurers. We specialise in ensuring that you will receive the best and most recommended treatments based on the most up to date research. We keep our knowledge and skills up to date through ongoing training and regular supervision. We are also fully insured and registered with the Information Commissioners Office.
Yvonne Earl is our psychological therapist specialising in child and adolescent mental health. She is flexible and always adapts to the needs of the child or family using evidence based therapies.
Online Therapy
We are all able to offer online therapy which you may find preferable to face to face work for a variety of reasons. The current covid pandemic may mean that you prefer online contact rather than face to face. There can also be advantages in saving time traveling to and from sessions. Another benefit is that you can access high quality therapy from wherever you are in the world. The evidence shows that therapy delivered online is just as effective as face to face therapy. These plusses mean that therapy can be more tailored to your individual needs.
